The Satori Agency offers a human-centric approach to professional development - our solutions are innovative, strategic, data-driven and research backed with a focus on well-being and life path alignment.

Our professional programs are designed for organizations who are having difficulty engaging and leading the new generation of employees, failing to provide clear pathways to development and advancement that consider the whole person.

We are a team of future-minded leaders who see the need for new methods as a strategic concern and believe in our mission to help people live happier and more energetically aligned lives.

State of the Global Workplace

Gallup’s 2023 annual report represents the collective voice of the global employee. In this report, they examined the global rise in employees who are thriving at work, even as worker stress remains at a record high.

"What can leaders do today to potentially save the world? Gallup has found one clear answer: Change the way your people are managed."

Jon Clifton | CEO, Gallup

As part of the survey, respondents were asked, “If you could make one change at your current employer to make it a great place to work, what would it be?” Overall, 85% of responses related to three categories: engagement or culture, pay and well-being.

Thriving at work: They find their work meaningful and feel connected to their team and organization. Being proud of their work leads them to take ownership of their performance, making an extra effort for teammates and customers.

Quiet quitting: Filling a seat and watching the clock. Minimum effort required, and they are psychologically disconnected. Even being minimally productive, they are more likely to be stressed and burnt out than engaged workers because they feel lost and disconnected from their workplace.

Loud quitting: These employees take actions that are harmful to the organization misaligned with the organization’s goals. Trust between employee and leadership was severely broken or the employee was widly mismatched to a role, causing constant crises.

When combined with actively disengaged employees, low engagement costs the global economy $8.8 trillion dollars, or 9% of global GDP.

People want to work with people who make them feel seen, heard and understood. They want connection.

The reports show that although engagement increases are good news for employees who are thriving at work and finding their daily work more rewarding, most workers are “quiet quitting” (not engaged) or “loud quitting” (actively disengaged). Traditional leadership development and succession planning isn’t working. It doesn’t consider non-traditional potential that lays outside of outdated and rigid academic standards and culturally toxic work ethic expectations.

The solution among many?

Considering the whole person in leadership development and selection. “Many respondents said they would like more recognition, opportunities to learn, fair treatment, clearer goals and better managers.” This can begin by building deeper relationships that foster environments of psychological safety. Employees who feel their feedback is taken into consideration with consistently presented with actionable solutions are exponentially more likely to be more engaged and ultimately retained.

At the managerial level, organizations fail to pick high-talent candidates 82% of the time.
